Embassies & Consulates in Kathmandu, Nepal

It is a good idea to register at your embassy or consulate if you plan to go trekking, which will often help you get rescued faster if you have a problem. They can contact you relatives if you have a problem. If you are applying for a visa, usually they are issued in the morning between 10 am and noon, but often it pays to be early as the wait can be long.
